Joseph and Minnie Long
Joseph Solomon Long and Minnie Iona Miller Long were married
in Lee County,
Mississippi on September 18, 1897 and were cotton farmers.
Their oldest daughter, Villa Mae Long, married Wiley Butts.
Villa and Wiley moved "west" to the state of Oklahoma.
J. S. Long had always wanted to move his family west,
so as the story goes,
he and his wife packed up their children and moved to Oklahoma by train.
