Amanda Lee Moody Taylor Mrs. Amanda Lee Moody Taylor passed away at her home north of Coalgate on Thursday, May 29, 1941 at the age of 57 years, 1 month and 16 days. Mrs. Taylor was born at Douglasville, GA, April 13, 1884 in and was married to Jess Taylor on September 16, 1900 in Ravia, OK. She is survived by her husband, and four daughters, Mrs. Ella Thomas, Mrs. Ena Thomas, Mrs Ruby Henderson, and Mrs. Vivian Stamps, 10 grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter, all of Coalgate, and three sisters, Mrs May Goodman and Mrs. Vera Park of near McAlester, and Mrs Pearl Gallimore of Junction City, Oregon, and two brothers, Bob and Boyd Moody of near McAlester. Funeral services were held at the McCarty school house Saturday afternoon conducted by Eld. C. A. Magness of the Church or Christ, of which she was a member since the age of 16 years.
