Richard Hansel "Dick" Hawkins was born April 6, 1858 in Banner, Calhoun Co., Mississippi. He was a son of Hansel Hawkins and Susanna Davis. "Dick" died January 28, 1915 in LeFlore Co., Oklahoma and is buried at the Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, LeFlore Co., Oklahoma.
