JONATHAN LEROY JENKINS

Jonathan Leroy Jenkins was born August 30, 1842 in Monroe Co., Mississippi. He was the son of Aaron Jenkins and Margaret Jones. Jonathan served in the First Regiment, Mississippi Calvary, Company E. He was mustered on February 15, 1862 at Sarepta, Mississippi. Jonathan died June 4, 1882 and is buried in Calhoun Co., Mississippi.

Jonathan Leroy Jenkins married Sarah Louesa Dickson March 3, 1864 in Calhoun Co., Mississippi. She was the daughter of Hugh Dickson and Adeline Johnson. Sarah was born December 29, 1844 in Alabama and died January 8, 1892 in Calhoun Co., Mississippi.
