D. W. WHITTEN

D. W. Whitten was born in May 1875 in Mississippi. He was the son of James S. "Jim" Whitten and Sarah E. "Sallie" Barron. D.W. died February 11, 1933 and is buried in Tell, Childress Co., Texas. D. W. married Margaret Ann "Annie Mae" Diggs November 12, 1899 in Paris, Lamar Co., Texas. "Annie Mae" was born in December of 1878 in Lamar Co., Texas and died February 27, 1925 in CeeVee, Cottle Co., Texas. She is buried in Tell, Childress Co., Texas. "Annie Mae" was the daughter of Benjamin Haywood Diggs and Frances Carolina Gambell.
